Primary and Secondary duties:

Key Skills required:

·      Operations Cross-functional exposure – Candidate shall work to get understanding of overall scope of product to match the same in terms of Manufacturing Operation s resources, their competencies, infrastructure-facility capacity, and capabilities working closely with various functions like Engineering, Production, Quality, Sourcing/ Supply Chain, Purchasing.

·      Knowledge/ Exposure of Industrial engineering tools for medium to Heavy industry of Welding, Painting, Assembly.

·      Knowledge of MS Office, EBOM/MBOM and Make / Buy analysis as per plant capability.

·      Part of cost reduction initiatives, Leana management & CI activities.

·      Preferably have working knowledge on VSM, MOST technique and MDAT tool.

·      Deployment of an integrated Daily-Weekly-Monthly Management/Operating System that drives incremental day to day performance improvement of the Key Performance Indicators (metrics) that are leading indicators of the financial performance of the business.

·      Establish Leader Standard Work at all levels in the organization that drives operating reviews, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities to the core Value Streams that are tightly aligned to customers and the value drivers that will make them and us successful.

·      Support Site Leadership Team in driving accelerated rates of improvement in leading indicator KPIs aligned to our “Focus 5” key metrics…

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Customer

CPM(Current product management) & CPI(Current product improvements)

Strive to reduce cost and increase productivity across all product lines through resources optimization as per production plan

Accountable to resolve day to day issues due to fluctuation of production plan and operational changes  

 

        NPL(New product launches) for approved programs as per Defined Milestones.

Designing of plant layout

Lead and own Make/Buy strategy and validate MBOM for all the models.

Work study / Time study to plan the station wise work-load

Resource requirement and recruitment scheduling as per month wise plan

Evaluation of work content during 4P

2.      Safety

Accountable for IFI (Injury Frequency Index), FACFI (First Aid Frequency Index)

WTIFI (Weighted Total Injury Frequency Index), Waste Recovered, Hazardous Waste KPI (kg/hours), Total Waste Generated KPI (kg/hours), Total Water Consumption KPI (m3/hours),

& Volatile organic compounds – VOC KPI (g/m2)

Plan safety reviews for all new and current program Layout

 

3.      Quality

Quality – Current products Agriculture & Construction Equipment’s.

                                                           CPA, ADPU, OKOL, DAR ADPU & PDI ADPU

 Release and control of all document’s layouts, MBOM, station wise work content

 

4.      Delivery

Conduct Work study / time study to deliver optimize resource through line balancing for current and new program.

Ensure timely recruitment of resources to build the skill level of new programs.

Deliver new product layout with minimum material flow distance.

Closely monitoring and responsible for improving productivity in terms of Manufacturing Index

Support in adherence to production plan as per current level of PO.         

 Provide inputs for Skill development matrix.

 

5.  Profitability

Achieve Budget/forecast for Efficiency, Expenses control.

Ensure Savings as budgeted.

Increase plant utilization through manufacturing footprint initiatives.

Responsible for Plant saturation & new equipment planning,

Cost reduction Initiatives

Ensure Kaizens as planned.

Shop capacity evaluation and counter measures for immediate increase in production numbers.

Line balancing and takt time calculation and final implementation on-line for various capacity.

Provide inputs of NVA to other functions and participation as CFT to resolve the critical issues.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Language(s):

Education/Qualifications:  BE (Mechanical/Production) & MBA/ME (IE)

Experience – 13-15 years’ experience in the field of Industrial Engineering, Production systems & Plant Operations

Languages – English, Hindi, Marathi(optional)

Essential experience and skills:

·      Exposure required specifically in manufacturing operations preferably in the field of medium & heavy Agriculture & construction equipment and automobiles.

·      Industrial Engineering tools, Manpower planning, layout planning, budgeting, and project management.

·      Utilize lean six sigma tools and principles to develop, plan and implement layout, process flow, material handling and cost and quality improvements.

·      Exposure required in work study through PMTS technique – MOST

·      Able to Coordinate with central manufacturing engineering for project study support and other CNH plan connect to have the information to implement the proved technology & process.

·      Production systems knowledge and deployment principles for effective lean implementation

Key Internal and External Relationships:

Internal: Production, Supply Chain, Finance, Purchasing, Product Development & central Manufacturing engineering team & other CNH plants
