Job Purpose
Develop innovative new products to solve problems for farmers using Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Robotic Perception techniques to drive Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements for new products in agriculture. Refine and improve existing products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop production level C++ software as part of a team of talented engineers

Contribute to the design and development of innovative agricultural solutions using Machine Learning, computer vision, and robotics techniques

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal teams & external resources) to design, develop, test, and deploy software products

Participate in field tests, gather data, prepare software for field installations

Analyze data to drive product development, optimization and troubleshooting

Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.

Participate in department improvement activities.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or similar field
-
2+ years of relevant professional experience
-
Proficiency in modern C++ and Python
-
Working experience in one or more of the following areas: computer vision, computational geometry, robotics, computer graphics or related field

Proven ability to build working software using machine learning techniques

Experience using TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and/or other ML or Vision specific toolchains

Familiarity with best practices in software development, including version control systems (Git), code reviews and collaborative development

Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving skills
-
Effective communication with strong team and collaboration skills
-
Self-motivated and driven to achieve team goals
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with 3D computer vision, intrinsic/extrinsic camera calibration, and/or depth estimation
-
Familiarity with outlier rejection, localization, and/or sensor fusion methodologies
-
Experience in GPU programming (eg. CUDA, Shaders)
-
Proficiency in developing and operating within a Linux environment
