Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Engineering team at St. Nazianz is dedicated to improving processes and supporting cross-functional collaboration across Safety, Quality, Logistics, and Operations. By driving continuous improvement initiatives and applying Lean Manufacturing principles, the team ensures both hourly staff and leadership see meaningful results in efficiency, quality, and safety.
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will gain a full view of how a manufacturing plant operates while contributing directly to projects that improve daily operations and long-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:

Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with process improvements to reduce safety, quality, and efficiency losses

Creating assembly aids, adjusting work processes, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve alignment and consistency

Supporting updates to the Bill of Materials (BOMs) and aligning work content across production processes

Applying Lean Manufacturing (CNH Business Systems) practices to drive continuous improvement

Contributing to projects across fabrication, weld, paint, and assembly, with a primary focus on the main assembly line

Engaging in daily management techniques to better understand plant operations and leadership practices

Potential involvement in capital investment projects, depending on timing and placement
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in the following majors or related fields: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Operations, Quality Assurance
