Join our dynamic team as a Senior Retail Credit Analyst in St Marys, NSW, where you’ll play a key role in leading responsible lending decisions that support both our customers and our business growth.
In this role, you’ll not only bring strong technical experience in credit analysis and decision-making, but also act as a mentor and subject matter expert across the credit function. You’ll take the lead on complex applications, financial statement reviews, and key account facility assessments, while playing a critical role in shaping portfolio-level insights and credit strategies.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, brokers and legal counsel to ensure deals are well-structured and in line with policy, regulatory and compliance requirements. Your ability to interpret trends, develop risk-based tools like credit scorecards, and drive system improvements will help deliver smarter decisions at scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and underwrite equipment finance applications in line with credit policies and authority levels
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed credit submissions for retail and key account customers
- Analyse portfolio trends to identify and mitigate credit and capital risk exposure
- Recommend alternative finance structures to achieve optimal outcomes for the business and customers
- Review and maintain credit limits, conditions, and securities for key account facilities
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, legal, regulatory and privacy requirements
- Liaise with legal counsel to prepare and finalise security documentation
- Collaborate with collections to identify and escalate early signs of financial difficulty
- Contribute to credit scorecard development, system testing, and credit risk reporting
- Provide support and coaching to internal stakeholders on credit policy, risk and compliance
- Champion continuous improvement and high-quality credit standards across the team
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and uphold ethical decision-making in all activities
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, asset finance or a senior credit underwriting role
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated expertise in interpreting and analysing financial statements
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and influence others across cross-functional teams
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Confident with computer systems and able to learn new platforms quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders and committees
- Deep understanding of credit risk, compliance and legislation
- Skilled in using credit decisioning systems and developing risk-based tools and processes
- Tertiary qualifications in banking, finance, accounting or commerce are highly regarded
