Job Purpose
The CNH Emulator team provides vehicle CAN and system simulation and virtualization for agriculture vehicle platforms. As a Software Engineer in Precision Agriculture, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining the CNH Simulator software initiatives. This team is developing the next generation of vehicle simulators to improve customer experience and product development.
As a software engineer focusing on Flutter, you will work on a complex internal tool used across the company. You will contribute to code reviews, product design discussions, and stay current with Flutter and Dart ecosystem advancements. Working in R&D, there is constant unknown in the work that we do. Being comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions for progress is important.
Key Responsibilities
- Write primarily front end code in Flutter and Dart
- Willingness to learn Go
- Research, write, develop, test, and evaluate software programs around vehicle emulation and simulation
- Assist in creation of design requirements for vehicle emulation and simulation applications
- Assist in managing CI/CD for emulator team
- Complete code reviews for team members
- Create and update documentation for emulation and simulation tools
- Keep abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications
- Provide support to end users on emulation software
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 2+ years of engineering experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Firm understanding of typed and compiled languages
- Front end development
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Flutter, Dart
- MVVM, MVC concepts
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries
- Strong understanding of software UI/UX design principles
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Familiarity with state management solutions (e.g. BLoC, Provider)
- Version control using Git and collaborative workflows
- Debugging and performance optimization skills
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is $84,375 – $112,500 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
