Job Purpose

Direct, supervise, and coordinate functions of the warehouse to meet customer expectations.  Contribute to a positive, team-orientated atmosphere and encourages good work habits.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, support, and direction.
• Condust regular team meetibgs to communicate goals, expectations and updates.
• Oversee the accurate receiving, storing, and issuing of warehouse materials.
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures to create a secure working environment.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate regular maintenance and inspections of warehouse equipment.
• Maintain effective communication channels with other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
• Report on key performance indicators, warehouse metrics, and project status.
• Assure staffing requirements are met.
• Encourage team member growth and development.
• Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.
• Maintain records on direct reports in relation to attendance and performance.
• Demonstrates support for the company culture in their daily actions and encourages their teams to do the same.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similiar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the organization’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with shipping, receiving, or warehousing is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
