Job Purpose

This specialist Product Manager is responsible for the development and ongoing management of the APAC Value Line Business as well as Pricing Management for the SEAJ Distributors.

The Value Line business is a combination of parts for older machines, as well as non-OEM supply. This includes identifying and implementing incremental growth opportunities through market research, business case development, product roadmap development, competitor benchmarking and product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute the Value Line Product Road Map to ensure the business, dealer and customers are appropriately supported
    • Business case development for new supplier and product evaluation
    • Assess and evolve business process to ensure maximum efficiencies and improved dealer and customer expereince
    • Co-ordinate development and delivery of wholesale and retail marketing content to improve knowledge and awareness of assigned portfolio
  • Work closely with various sales team on ways to improve and develop the value line business
  • Maintain regular engagement with CNH dealers to understand current and future market requirements to ensure maximum support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Purchasing teams on the strategic development of the product portfolio
  • Proactively monitor the marginality of portfolio segments to ensure revenue and profitability targets are achieved
  • Ensure regular review of product inventory and take necessary actions to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
  • Assesses market competition by benchmarking your portfolio offering against competitors as well as benchmarking against other CNH global entities
  • Collaborate effectively with many stakeholders within the CNH business to manage the full lifecycle of products in assigned categories – from conception, forecasting and part creation through to product obsolescence
  • Rationalise under-performing vendors/lines to maximise buying position for CNH

 

Pricing & Promotions

  • Maintain the assigned pricing files in line with the pricing strategies set out by the business.
  • Analyse price investigations from internal and distributor enquiries. Make recommendations on new price position and action as per the delegation of authority.
  • Complete pricing simulations on a regular basis to ensure maximum potential of sales and marginality.
  • Create and distribute new dealer price lists in line with the business standards.
  • Investigation of competitive pricing and offers from both OEM and non-genuine suppliers.
  • Complete analysis on cost changes and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain the active promotions within the systems.

Relationship and Organisational Management

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to define stocked product lines to best support the machine park.
  • Maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with both the Trade Marketing team to ensure continuity in the strategic message and positioning of the product portfolio
  • Work closely with Product Life Cycle to ensure the appropriate validation procedures are followed
  • Maintain open and collaborative communications with sales leads and the respective field teams
  • Maintain open engagement with Product Support to ensure proactive approach to managing product requirements during the lifecycle
     

Experience Required

  • Ability to think strategically – analyse and interpret data, so as to devise strategies accordingly.
  • Proven track record in launching new products and growing product lines and brands
  • Strong experience in product management in a multi-SKU environment, ideally for a large global industrial manufacturer or aftermarket supplier
  • Previous experience in a product management, product marketing or sales role, within the aftermarket parts industry (highly regarded but not essential), working with either automotive/commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery or construction equipment.
  • Proven track record in growing market share and increasing profitability.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional team and multi-segment business environment, and readily adaptable to changing market, business, and organizational needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate to high level of competency in PCs, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business and or Marketing preferable but not essential
