JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title :- Hydraulics Design
Department : – Product Engineering
Business: ITC
Report To :- Construction Hydraulics Lead
1.) Job purpose: –
To meet requirements of hydraulic core competency as per specifications defined for projects/machines by Marketing and other stakeholders.
2.) Dimensions: –
- Direct Reportee: Nil
- Position Responsibility: Hydraulics Design of construction equipment
3.) Key Result Areas (KRA’s) / Measures of Performance (MOP’s): –
To perform Global Product Development (GPD) activities as per planned milestones within the stipulated time-line.
To address and resolve Current Product issues (CPM) as per planned milestones and time frame.
To attend and resolve Cost Reduction Tasks (CRT) as per planned milestones and time frame.
4.) Main Activities: –
· Selection and sizing of Hydraulics components for construction equipment like Skid Steer Loader, Backhoe loader, Excavator, Compactor, Wheel Loader etc.
· Perform calculations, make hydraulic schematics
· Integrations of Hydraulic parts in the equipment layout
· Hydraulic related plumbing design and routing on CAD software and 2D drawing preparation
· PIR resolution, DFMEA , test requests and design documentation
· Resolve internal and external customer complaints, conduct field visits whenever necessary
5.) Competencies and Skill Set Required: –
· Knowledge of applicable standards, calculation at vehicle level for component sizing, selection, and design of plumbing routing & brackets
· Ability to interpret results from FEA, simulations
· CREO 3D Modeling 2D Drafting
· Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Principles, DFMEA & Visual Mock-up basic knowledge
· Understanding of tools used for Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving
· Application knowledge of PLM Tools (e.g. Teamcenter & Enovia)
· Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills
· Good presentation skills

MATT AMES: It’s an exciting time for the tractors and for the farmers as these technologies mature and
these designs are put into use and are going to be rolled out to our customers.
TIM ROSZHART: With technology, we’re able to make decisions that care for every square foot of
ground. It’s a great way to take interest in connectivity and mobile apps, artificial intelligence, and
computer vision, these things that we see in other industries, in automotive, even in the gaming industry,
and others and how to– can actually bring those interests and those passions and those skills and use it
