Supply Chain
Role Purpose:
This role involves end to end Management of material required to Aftermarket business for AG Crop Solution segment.
· Manage AG Crop Solution Parts Management and ensure that the buying policy, strategy, and objectives are in line with the regional initiatives.
· Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs.
· Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications & schedules (right quantity at right time).
· Coordinate and supervise receiving in line with warehousing procedures.
· Control inventory levels and ensure optimum availability of material.
· Maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve supplier issues.
· Develop, achieve and continuously improve material management KPI’s
· Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
· Assist planning section in forecasting to plan future order.
· Supervise, evaluate, coach subordinates and develop leadership in team.
· Recommend and implement best practices within area of responsibility.
Managing Purchase & Procurement: To manage buying activities in collaboration with purchase, planning, suppliers, warehouse operations, finance, IQC & resolve any delivery issue, QC issue.
Managing Inventory Management: To maintain the inventory flow with optimum stocks in hand & by managing the stocks at transporters (3rd party warehouse) as per varying Min-Max Levels of individual parts (categorized in Classes A,B,C based upon the criticality, cost & volumes) and manage milk run process from local suppliers.
Managing Supply Chain: To plan , procure components and maintain the spares availability as per the varying demand and to get delivered within the stipulated time frame.
Sourcing: Establish New Vendors, Freeze DVP (Design Validation Plan) with Supplier & Engineering, PPAP with Joint Inspection at Supplier End.
Quality Resolution – Resolve quality issues along with suppliers by identifying root cause.
Supplier Management: To establish good relations with suppliers, provide them a healthy business environment to meet the organization objectives.
Supplier Rating & Performance: To improve supplier ratings & performance in terms of supplies & quality standards.
RFQ & Negotiation: To float the RFQs to get the quotations and negotiation for new projects and for specific requirement of domestic or international demands or for CI activities with existing / new sources.
SOB planning: To plan the division of SOB by the capacity planning of individual supplier & to get the material flow as per defined SOB.
· Leadership/Team Management Responsibility:
3 direct reports.
Education/Qualifications:
· Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Business, or equivalent
· Master’s Degree in business, Supply Chain management or related field preferred
· Finance and Process Management certificates highly desirable
Essential experience and skills:
· 10-15 years of progressive supply chain management experience in MNCs
o 3+ Forecasting & Planning
o 3+ Supplier development and validation
o 3+ Item Development
o 5+ Direct team supervision
· Desirable
o 2+ Manufacturing Process
o 2+ Technical Knowledge of whole goods , parts and its application.
· 5+ years or more of experience Inventory Management
· 5+ years of experience in handling different suppliers – Machining , Casting , rubber , electrical and plastic,
· Effective managerial leadership skills, promoting positive coaching and mentoring of staff
· Demonstrated decision-making skills with ability to multitask
· Strong customer focus and high sense of urgency with ability to work under pressure
· Highly self-motivated with a track record for taking initiative and driving change
· Ability to lead and hold people accountable for daily results around safety, productivity, and quality
· Demonstrate ability to drive change, set demanding targets, and motivate teams and individuals to deliver results while creating a positive work environment according to company core values and Code of Conduct
· Strong experience and knowledge working in Warehouse Management Systems and big Databases
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills (English mandatory, other languages are appreciated) with demonstrated leadership capabilities
· Experience with international groups, and Asian cultures
- Working knowledge of SAP MM
- Proficient in MS Office
