We are currently seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to join our team in Wautoma, WI. In this role you will be accountable for leading people, setting direction, and driving Lean Manufacturing activities at the plant. This includes the oversight of planning, implementation, and maintenance of the manufacturing activities of production. You will ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production quantities of quality products are at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand
  • Drive continuous improvement in the plant’s manufacturing processes, including fabrication, welding, paint and/or assembly
  • Resolve issues related to the organization’s production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations
  • Lead a team of supervisors, managers, and experienced professional roles across multiple related areas
  • Lead the development of plant staff through skills assessment, performance management, and identification of training needs
  • Accountability for the short- to medium-term performance and results of multiple related units
  • Provide input into the budgeting process and may be a sub departmental budget holder
  • Management of plant resources, processes, and policies within manufacturing
  • Other related duties as assigned

The annual salary for this role is $104,250 – $139,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience. 
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Manufacturing experience with strong background in manufacturing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
