As an Embedded Controls Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the timely development of application software for agricultural equipment. The successful applicant will be specifying, designing, and testing vehicle application and control software per CNHi coding standards.
Responsibilities include.
· Define the control system software requirements, software specification and software structure for agricultural applications.
· Implement the software architecture and strategies, requirements for closed loop control algorithms, and related software control logic.
· Execution of the unit test, modules integration test, integration with the EE hardware, software verification
· Reviews progress of projects and provides frequent progress updates to direct manager.
· Leads or contributes to Functional Safety relevant software functions in accordance with ISO25119.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
· Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded software development activities and projects that includes experience using MATLAB® Model-Based Design, C, C++ for embedded control systems and a good understanding of Electronic and Mechanical components.
· Strong Good knowledge of the C and C++ programming languages.
· Strong knowledge Virtual prototyping / MIL / SIL / HIL principles and Model-Based Design experience using MATLAB® Simulink/Stateflow and Automatic code generation with dSPACE® TargetLink.
· Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as SVN or equivalent.
· Familiarity with embedded code debugging tools and strong debugging skills (call stack analysis, breakpoint evaluation, resource budget analysis as Flash, RAM, and CPU load)
· Demonstrated the ability to work in a variety of client settings and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
· Demonstrated significant problem-solving capabilities and experience.
· Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Embedded/Real operating systems or AUTOSAR/OSEK
· Experience with SAE J1939, CAN, UDS software protocols and Vehicle networking protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) and experience with Vector tools (Canalyzer, Canoe) or similar
· Experience with Electro-Hydraulic or vehicle control systems for off-highway vehicles or automotive control systems
· Demonstrated knowledge of design analysis tool and other relevant engineering systems
· Demonstrated technical leadership and organization/control skills.
· Experience with network client/server architecture
· Experience with agricultural equipment and/or machines
· Experience with tracking requirements tools (e.g., Polarion)
· Experience with software development according to Functional Safety Standard (ISO25119/22262)
