The Technical Cost Specialist is responsible to define, calculate and upload Maintenance, Repair and Additional Coverage technical costs on current and new products, according to the policies and offers defined in the Strategic Business Plan of each Segment, ensuring the deliverables milestone in the GPD process.
- Define the Maintenance costs starting from the analysis of the Maintenance Plans, share the information with: Service Engineering to optimize the Maintenance Plan in terms of stops and cost and to identify new improvements; P&S (kits definition, price lists).
- Define the technical repair trends, starting from the product behavior statistics (out of the Standard Warranty), using the MERF and CORF reports and analysis: ACPU (Average Cost per Vehicle) and F100 (Failures x 100 vehicles).
- Collaborate with Reliability Engineering for creating a solid core knowledge and competence center (RAMS approach), identifying, and developing new methodologies within the process of technical cost definition for M&R and EW.
- Data modelling using reliability and failure probability models.
- Manage big-data available from multiple databases (warranty, telematics, diagnostics, parts), evaluate benefits deriving from optimized and customized preventive maintenance intervals on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and availability, forecast warranty, EW and M&R cost impacts.
- Evaluate the significance of some technical and environmental parameters (product classification, optional characteristics, mission, market, etc.) in the failure probability calculation for M&R and EW.
- Evaluate the impact of the product improvements in cooperation with Platform, with the aim to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) on current product and improve the new products, continuously and actively supporting the working team (Quality, Service Engineering, P&S and Brand).
- Update Maintenance and Repair technical prices (by market / range / model / mission / duration / Annual usage) for M&R and EW quotations, with periodical releases based on the new products launches or the running products updating.
- Benchmark analysis of M&R and EW in terms of technical aspects, cost analysis breakdown, different improvement scenarios.
- Analyze and develop the best practices in data analytics.
- Support from a methodological point of view the other people of the team
The annual salary for this role is $62,000 – $84,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
- High School Diploma with a minimun of 4 years of relevant experiece or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant expereince
- Mathematic or/and Statistic background
- Logical and rigorous problem-solving skills and approach
- Competence in statistical analysis and trend projections
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office tools and good competence in the database management (BI, WRS)
- Knowledge of statistical tools (SAS, R)
- Ability to manage business relationships and work accross differnt futional areas and teams
