Job Purpose

We’re seeking a bold, visionary Director of Industrial Design to shape the future of agricultural machinery. In this high-impact role, you’ll define the look, feel, and function of next-generation vehicles — from early-stage concepts to production-ready machines — blending design innovation with real-world utility. You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership to drive business priorities.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams to solve complex challenges across ergonomics, brand identity, precision farming, and sustainability. Your work will translate farmer insights into compelling vehicle solutions that are as smart and intuitive as they are rugged and high-performance. You’ll be a champion for design excellence — setting the tone for how our machines inspire, empower, and elevate the future of farming.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide a team of industrial designers from concept through production
• Partner closely with engineering, product, and marketing to ensure modularity, common components, feasibility and brand alignment
• Set and drive the design vision for exterior form language, cab interiors, controls, and digital integration
• Translate customer pain points, dealer feedback, and agronomic requirements into innovative design solutions
• Lead the development of integrated software/hardware prototypes, physical models, and VR walkthroughs to communicate intent
• Advocate for operator-first design, especially in visibility, controls layout, fatigue reduction, and automation transitions
• Influence product strategy and cross-functional leadership with compelling design stories and results

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design
• 15+ years experience in industrial design, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership role
• 10 years experience managing industrial designers in a global role
• Industry experience in agriculture equipment, construction, auto, or related industry
• Strong portfolio that reflects form development, ideation, material thinking, emotional storytelling, and executive influence
• Examples of designing and integrating technologies – such as displays, sensors, lighting, connectivity, and AI – into physical vehicle environments
• Proven track record of launching production vehicles or advanced concepts
• Proficiency in design tools such as Alias, Blender, VRED, Photoshop, KeyShot, Gravity Sketch, and Rhino
• Experience in emerging AI design tools
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
