Job Purpose
As the Accounting Manager within our Financial Services organization, you will play a critical role in overseeing the North American financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS regulations. This position is responsible for interpreting and applying complex technical accounting standards and managing the implementation of new accounting guidance. You will also lead the month-end close process, maintain internal controls, and support both internal and external audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards, delivering timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results
- Lead the month-end close process for both US GAAP and IFRS ledgers, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Manage and maintain the SAP financial module and oversee integration with subledger systems to ensure alignment with accounting standards
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including financial statement reviews, footnote disclosures, internal controls and other audit-related matters
- Ensure full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain a robust internal control framework
- Maintain alignment with all published global finance policies
- Supervise, mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
- Drive enhancements to accounting systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy
Annual compensation range is $133,875-196,350 (actual salaries will vary and will based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role).
Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of US GAAP, SEC and IFRS
- Strong understanding of internal controls and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA)
- Experience in captive finance organization or banking environment
- Background in public accounting or experience with a large, publicly traded international company
- Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
