Summary
We are currently seeking an Air Freight and Parcel Specialist to join our team in Racine, WI. In this role, The Air Freight and Parcel Specialist will coordinate import and export airfreight for the North America Region (into/from US and Canada) for CNH’s production plants and engineering facilities. The Specialist will also handle the parcel shipment process for the North America Region.
The Specialist is responsible for coordinating obtaining quotes, necessary approvals based on DOAs established, and delivery to final location with the airfreight forwarder. The Specialist will also be responsible for collecting documentations required for charging back suppliers from CNH’s production plants in US and Canada. They will monitor daily Critical Control Points (CCP) and ensure corrective actions are implemented for delayed deliveries caused due to systemic inefficiencies for both air freight and parcel shipments. The Specialist will maintain SOPs related to airfreight planning and execution as well as the parcel process and drive continuous improvement with Kaizens. The Specialist will also work on more advanced Kaizens utilizing project management methodologies.
The Specialist is expected to be a self-starter and accountable for meeting targets.
Responsibilities
- Obtain quotes from airfreight forwarder for airfreight requirements identified by CNH’s material planning/Engineering/R&D teams.
- Ensure all required approvals are provided by requestor of airfreight in compliance with established DOAs.
- Monitor all airfreight shipments in-transit to meet delivery expectations by Required On-Site (ROS) date.
- Proactively communicate any delays in pickup, in-transit, or during last mile delivery to all stakeholders and get them resolved with extreme urgency.
- Work with expedite carriers to pick up cargo from airports or proximity warehouses.
- Hold freight forwarders and expedite carriers accountable to perform at expected levels.
- Initiate projects targeted at improving service levels or generating cost savings for both air freight and parcel processes.
- Obtain all required documents from plant material planning groups to complete the supplier quality process.
- Develop reports to highlight our sustainability initiatives and its impact on the environment.
- Ability to multitask operational tasks and project management to meet both short-term & long-term objectives.
- Main point of contact for parcel process for North America region.
Annual Base Salary range for this role: $60,000 to $80,500 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree, bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of logistics or relevant experience, or high school diploma with 7+ years’ experience.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain transportation (import, export, road).
- Proficiency in using pivot tables, lookups, and advanced excel functionalities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with SharePoint and the entire Microsoft office suite of applications
