Job Purpose
As a Quality Engineering Intern at the Basildon Tractor Plant, you will play a key role in supporting product and process quality for our manufacturing operations. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to resolve daily quality issues, lead structured problem-solving activities, and contribute to continuous improvement projects across the plant. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, world-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of CNH Industrial products and the high quality standards expected by our customers.
- Gain knowledge of the production processes and components within your assigned area.
- Identify quality losses and lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Collaborate effectively with suppliers to address non-conformities and drive improvements.
- Manage project activities through the Plant Operating System and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure timely resolution of quality concerns and advancement of improvement projects.
Experience Required
- Currently studying for or recently completed a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical).
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Team-oriented mindset with the confidence to lead where appropriate.
- Able to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrates curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
