Long Description
The Advanced Purchasing Buyer represents purchasing as a member of a cross functional platform team tasked with developing CNH Industrial’s next great products. This position is responsible for supporting the Advance Purchasing Platform Specialist collaborating with suppliers and engineering to develop components from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides purchasing support by participating on platform teams; assesses and increases supplier value through participation in R&D, co-design, innovation, and other integration contribution
- Manages negotiation and implementation of all technical modifications.
- Manages the prototype ordering and procurement in order to support builds on time (RFQ, negotiation, ordering, expediting delivery
- Supporting the Advance Purchasing Platform Specialist to execute sourcing and tooling plans to ensure product launch meets all program targets for quality, cost, and timing.
- Accountable for all direct material cost of the product.
- Holds suppliers accountable to commitments and project deliverables independently and takes the appropriate steps to escalate when required
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or related.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in purchasing, project management, or similar.
- General automotive products/commodities knowledge
- Good level of project management skill, with the ability to map out all deliverables for the entire development cycle to meet product launch goals.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Devises solutions based on multiple sources of information and uses past experience, evaluation, and interpretation to adapt existing approaches
- Good communication skills, ability to work well independently and with teams
