Intern Program Overview

Job Purpose
The Metallic Purchasing team is responsible for sourcing and managing suppliers for steel, fabricated, and welded components that support CNH manufacturing plants. By partnering with commodity buyers, managers, and cross-functional teams, the group ensures reliable material supply at the most competitive total cost while driving quality and efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
As a Jr. Buyer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in supplier management, cost analysis, and sourcing strategies, while contributing to projects that directly impact CNH’s manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities may include:

Working with commodity buyers and managers on purchasing-related projects

Interfacing with supply chain functions such as product development, materials management, logistics, and supplier quality

Conducting project-based material aggregation for purchased production parts shipped into CNH plants

Soliciting supplier proposals for purchased materials and evaluating responses

Performing total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities for purchased components and materials

Assisting with the sourcing of new material requirements to support CNH production plants
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in the following majors or in a related field: Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management
