Job Purpose
Wiring harness engineer will be responsible for integrations, routing and 2D drawing of wiring harness, using CREO and Capital software. This position will be supporting the Crop production Hay & Forage equipment segment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain machine specific harness 3D layout in Creo/cabling, designing with the accurate vehicle master model environment and adhering to the wire harness design & routing requirements as per CNH design methodology.
Supporting the vehicle architecture team in packaging major EE components (for example, connector, retention points finalization, harness package assembly preparation etc.)
Design solutions for reported “Observation/Problem” based on instructions from lead engineers.
Should have experience in preparation and updating system level schematic in Capital Schematic/Logic
Should be aware of PLM software for design releases and data management. Assembly Drawings – Develop and maintain machine specific assembly drawings for each EE Group/System Keys in the EBOM that is impacted by the project. This is to be done in CREO and to follow the assembly drawing guidelines/best practices for wire harnesses.
Preparation of 2D harness drawing in Capital XC
After approval of the 3D design, 2D harness drawings should be created according to the CNH drawing specifications and the PASD Design Methodology.
Development includes importing file from the representative Capital and auto-routing the wires and re-sizing the bundles to eliminate any interferences or other package issues.
Design/selection of harness retention components (cable tie systems, brackets, grommets etc.)
Good understanding of wiring harness manufacturing processes and in particular desire to have good understanding of component selection (fuses, relays, connectors, covering, wire etc.)
Effective and clear communication via design reviews of concepts to foster detailed discussions to reach conclusions.
Work effectively with Cross Functional Team (CFT) – manufacturing, sourcing, supplier quality, to ensure designs are meeting all set engineering requirements.
Experience Required
Professional Qualification- 2-4 years of relevant experience; preferably one year from OEM as a GAT or GET.
Technical skills: Desire to have basics understanding of Agricultural equipment systems, including technical drawings, manufacturing technologies with focus on electrical systems/layouts.
Knowledge of Product lifecycle management and related tools, knowledge of TcAE is an advantage.
Must have experience in CREO-cabling and Capital Software (CHS)
Preferred to have knowledge of wiring harness related standards (Example: DIN/SAE/ISO etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
BE/BTech Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is INR ₹680,000.00 – plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
