Primary and Secondary duties:

Key Skills required:

·      Working on Line Side Feeding Methods

·      Preparation of Line Side Material/Trolleys/Containers

·      Line Side Trolleys design and Coordinate the Trolley Building and Implementation

·      Working on ERP System for Line ide Material Flow and Parts Feeding

·      Working on Facility & Warehouse Planning for Logistics activities

·      Working on Initiatives like Kitting and Sequencing

·      Awareness and working ability for implementation of World Class Manufacturing Systems

·      Need to define Packaging of Parts and Validate for Storage

·      Packaging design and implementation for interplant movement.

·      Be able to Document activities and actively Participate to improve Product Quality with efficient Part Handling and Defect Free Parts supply on Line.

·      Working on New Projects and Expansion of Warehouse and in other Logistics Area

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Customer

               Strive to reduce cost and increase productivity across Operation area.

Accountable to output of Laser & bending area as per schedule.

Development of new parts in laser & bending area. Parts layout for laser.

Facilitate Make/Buy strategy and validate MBOM for all the models.

Supervising RFQ, detailed DR and DAP with supplier for tooling development.

Inspection and trial of trollies and packaging with supplier & quality teams.

2.      Safety

Accountable for IFI (Injury Frequency Index), FACFI (First Aid Frequency Index)

Accountable for implementation & maintenance of safety work culture in his area.

DMS, training to operators, safety improvement projects, adherence to safe work practices.

Participation in safety, 5S audits. closer of observed points.

3.      Quality & Delivery 

Warehouse process planning and execution, optimization of processes.

Systematic improvement of parts storage thru world class manufacturing resulting in cost reduction.

Prepare the justification document for the capital item requirements for Warehouse, line side storage & material handling equipment.

Solving the problem by various techniques such as PFMEA, POKAYOKE (Error- proofing) implementation.

Work closely with ME function to give inputs on Process Documents such as PFD, PFMEA & control plan readiness.

4.      Profitability

Maximize the effectiveness of the supply chain team, equipment, and materials to produce multi-line products within planned schedules while reducing costs.

Achieve Budget/forecast for Efficiency, Expenses control for Warehouse management.

Savings as budgeted or min 8%

Cost reduction Initiatives & Project Management.

Warehouse capacity evaluation and counter measures for meeting right levels of inventory.

Provide technical support on warehouse and line planning with process and problem solving to other functions and participation as CFT to resolve the critical issues.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Language(s):

Education/Qualifications: B.E. (Production Engg/Mechanical Engineering)

Age – 25-30 Years

Experience – 3-5 plus years in the field of logistics engineering.

Languages – English, Hindi, Marathi (Preferred)

Essential experience and skills:

·      Knowledge of parts packaging design, production line logistics design and Warehouse logistics

·      Hands on experience on AutoCAD

·      Working knowledge of logistics flow, packaging requirement and PFEP for all parts, Line Side Trolleys design, implementation and warehouse logistics facility planning.

·      Knowledge of Day-to-Day operation Management, People Handling,

·      Knowledge of material handling costs and quality improvements.
