Job Purpose

The Innovation Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of innovative solutions and strategies within the organization. This role involves researching new trends, technologies, and business opportunities to identify potential areas for improvement and innovation.

This position will support CNHI’s Combine and Header Innovation concept engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as Harvesting Innovation team member by developing innovative, functional features and systems that address future platform and customer needs. An extensive amount of independent thinking and organization is required to solve practical challenges in the field.
• Preparation, assembling and installation of concepts on the innovation test fleet related to harvest process automation, productivity improvement and effeciency improvement of harvesting equipment, focusing mainly on combine harvesters.
• Organizing, execution and managing test plan for proving out innovation concepts
• Translate field findings (end of season communications) and practical experiences in the field into the concept review discussions and drive concept improvements.
• Keep the innovation test fleet in good health (maintenance, repairs, ordering and installing parts etc..)
• Preparing the yearly field test plan, prepare concept prototype and test relevant travel to get performance and functional validation.
• Communicate with the innovation team to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in innovation, fieldtest, product development, or a related field.
• A basic or advanced level of familiarity with CNH combine and header equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bsc or equivalent through experience in Mechanical / Agricultural / Electrical Engineering
• Hands on experience in agriculural machinery, maintenance and/or operation
• Understanding farming operations and its challenges during harvest
• Drivers license CE
• Innovative customer oriented mindset.
• Understanding of and familiarity with some CNH systems (dealerportal, spare parts, work order system (WOS), diagnostic tools such as EST, Canalyzer etc).
• Some familiarity with a programming language for fielddata processing (mathlab/python)
