Job Purpose
Reporting to the Planning and Inventory Control Manager, the Logistics Analyst will be accountable to deliver on forecast accuracy and inventory levels. Collaborates with cross functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Logistics Analyst will utilize Power BI and MRP systems to validate forecasts from the commercial teams and sister plants to ensure the forecasted demand is accurate.
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall inventory control as required by production schedules and/or customer orders while minimizing inventory and costs.

Assists organization in attaining KPIs including inventory turns, on-time delivery, and customer lead time.

Responsible for verifying EOL components are deactivated, and all forecast and purchase orders are cancelled.

Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

Develop and maintain close working relationships with other departments to ensure cohesiveness within the plant.
Experience Required
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including writing macros, building pivot dashboards, and utilizing formulas to optimize large data sets.

Experience utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence software to make critical decisions.

Analytical, problem solving, project management, facilitation, and decision-making skills are essential.

Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict, encourage teamwork.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics field) or 3+ year’s related experience

Associate Degree (Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics field) or 6+ year’s related experience
Preferred Qualifications

Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills

Strong knowledge of materials and inventory control in manufacturing environments including various levels of planning from Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to execution and control of production activity, transactional management, ECO implementation, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), purchasing, warehousing, inventory control, scheduling, shipping and/or logistics.

Self-starter, able to work with or lead cross-functional teams.

Must be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.

Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside of the organization.
