Job Purpose
The Business Data Engineer is a key contributor to CNH’s Purchasing organization, responsible for transforming procurement data into actionable insights that drive cost savings, process improvements, and digital automation. This role supports strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and operational efficiency through advanced analytics, reporting, and process automation. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with technical expertise in data analysis and automation tools and data engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional data-driven initiatives to support our business objectives, this includes creating data mining models, analyzing procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, designing and implementing RPA tools to automate tactical procurement tasks.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards, scorecards, and reports to monitor and improve purchasing KPIs.
- Ensure data quality, lineage and governance in the procurement data system to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in Global process improvement projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and to optimize workflows
- Collaborate with category managers and buyers to model cost-saving scenarios and support sourcing and negotiation decisions.
- Researching and applying emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to enhance procurement analytics and inform business decisions.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supporting business intelligence and maintenance of ETL pipelines preferably in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
- Advanced skills in Excel, data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
- Experience in automate workflows using Python, RPA tools, or AI frameworks.
- Experience with accessing and extracting data from enterprise data warehouses such as Databricks, Azure etc. using tools such as SQL queries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to translate technical concepts into business value
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications in data engineering, data science, or procurement analytics are a plus.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $85,000 – $176,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
