WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
CNH Zedelgem is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for the Welding Department. In this role, you will be responsible for:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating and managing production processes to safely, qualitatively, and productively assemble and integrate new welding groups into new or existing layouts.
- Determining standard times through time studies.
- Requesting necessary gauges and tools, ensuring timely delivery and startup.
- Providing detailed documentation, such as SOPs and work instructions.
- Being actively present on the shop floor, translating theory into practice, and making adjustments as needed.
- Ensuring optimal ergonomics and safety for welders to deliver perfect quality.
- Designing lean welding cells, focusing on logistics, movements, and transportation.
- Engaging in project work, new technologies, and process control tools.
- Processing and analyzing data from various channels, interpreting this information, and converting it into concrete and efficient actions to continuously improve production processes.
- Being a team player who, together with colleagues, aims to elevate the welding department and support the smooth integration of new products.
YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent through experience. Experience as a manufacturing engineer or in a welding department is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze welding drawings to determine how the welding group should be assembled.
- Knowledge of the welding process is an advantage; being able to weld is an extra plus.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make thoughtful decisions, and maintain a good balance between departmental objectives and production output.
- Initiative, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Power BI); CAD/CAM or AutoCAD.
