Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced materials planner/expeditor to join our World Material Flow (WMF) team. The main function of this role is to support international CNH Industrial production facilities by liaising with and expediting material from the company’s North American supply base.
The WMF Materials Planner is responsible for supplier communications and follow-up activities to ensure a smooth supply of parts to overseas production facilities. In this role, you will support and interact directly with production planners in Europe, South America, and Asia. This role involves communicating with suppliers, as well as with receiving, consolidation, and transportation partners regarding the plants’ material requirements and instructions. You will use the CNH Industrial Supplier Portal, SharePoint, Excel-based tools, and data analytics tools to evaluate plants’ material requirements and minimum needs. You will be responsible for collecting and following up on shipping promises and resolving order exceptions, as well as detecting any risks to production plans. You will monitor KPIs every week, and should be able to proactively adjust your methods, and target supplier and plant improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage material orders against a defined group of North American suppliers
- Proactively gather shipping promises and confirm shipments and receipts
- Determine and direct best shipping method to meet plant production needs
- Expedite past due and short notice orders from suppliers
- Communicate order delay/concerns with CNH plant planners to determine criticality
- Problem-solve and advocate for customer plants to get parts from suppliers
- Direct CNH inbound logistics and consolidation centers of expedite requirements
- Support and participate in standard practices and process improvements
- Monitor and improve supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to drive cost savings, as well as process and service level improvements
- Annual Base Salary range for this role: $52,000 to $70,500 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field. Or a high school diploma with 3+ years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization skills of email and communication activities
- Experience with MRP systems and order management
- Experience with parts expediting and/or customer service experience
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills
- Experience using analytical tools such as QlikSense and/or Power BI, Cognos
- Language proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus
