Summary
Within this role you will be responsible to analyze data, track trends, work with current suppliers and make recommendations on new suppliers to support the Machined Bar & Tubes portion of the Metallic business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs.
- Collaborates with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develops supply recommendations.
- Ensures suppliers can meet forecasted demand.
- May coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
- May participate in design and/or technical reviews.
- May select, recommend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- The annual salary range for this position is $82,000-$94,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Engineering
- Business Administration
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
