Job Description
Position Purpose
The OH&S Specialist works to contribute to the achievement of the CNHi H&S strategy by implementing initiatives that support a ZERO injury workplace and using resources effectively and efficiently.
· Supports in the management & reporting of H&S activities in India ITC Tech. Center Site.
· Supports in the implementation of H&S policies and procedures in India ITC Tech. Center Site.
- Provides support to the broader site management teams to ensure compliance with all INDIA legislative requirements and applicable safety standards.
Health & Safety
Drive a culture of Safety and Health in the site by:
· ensuring all appropriate actions are taken to develop and implement H&S procedures and comply with legislative requirements, monitoring compliance and reporting to the management.
· regularly monitoring H&S performance within area of responsibility and reporting of all applicable KPIs (H&S and Sustainability) to site management and Regional EH&S Function
· identification of all H&S hazards and performance of Safety risk assessment by task, taking necessary measures to manage risks
· capture, report, record, investigate and analyze accidents/incidents in order to implement corrective and preventive actions
· prepare, implement and maintain emergency plans based on site risks, potential emergencies reliable communication, holding incident drills and exercises on a regular basis to keep teams updated and engaged
· organize and implement H&S training programs by providing also H&S inductions.
· No employee injuries or incidents
· Full compliance with all Company H&S policies and reporting procedures
· Monitoring and Reporting compliance to the management
Standards / Compliance
Assist in the development and enforcement of standards to ensure that CNHi India ITC site complies with H&S regulatory and governance requirements, including:
· keeping abreast of H&S legislation, best practices and tools and leveraging these to facilitate contemporary H&S practices across the site organization
· developing of H&S standards/policies/procedures and processes to ensure that CNHi India ITC site complies with regulatory and governance requirements
· monitoring and conducting of regular H&S compliance checks and audits within the sites including:
ü reporting breaches
ü recommending remedial actions
ü monitoring and reporting on the progress of appropriate corrective actions
ü supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive strategies
· Corporate and legislative compliance
· OHS Management system (based on ISO45001 standard requirements)
Planning
Contribute to the development and delivery of CNH Industrial goals and objectives including:
· contributing to specific project and/or event planning and ensuring project and event plans include H&S initiatives that are aligned with CNHi H&S strategy
· planning and implementing a schedule of inspections of the site taking into account site specific H&S issues and project or events
· managing systems and processes to enable timely and accurate H&S reporting and analysis also through CNHI online tools (SPARC)
· Active participation in the development of Specific Project or Event plans
· Plans include H&S initiatives and are aligned with CNH Industrial H&S strategy
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the effectiveness of the H&S function, including:
· Continuously work for the improvement of H&S standards/policies/procedures, guidelines and tools (as by ISO45001 standard)
· contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within own function and with internal clients, creating a culture of Health and Safety.
· continually improving the quality of H&S information, services and reporting
· Active participation in team
· Quality information / reports produced
· Sharing of knowledge and information with site team members
Client Focus
Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships, including:
· maintaining productive relationships with internal clients and other key stakeholders to achieve H&S objectives
· establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within the wider group and with key personnel in other divisions including attendance at H&S network meetings/calls and scheduled site H&S meetings, as required
· Relevant stakeholders express satisfaction with relationships and outputs
