About this Role
The CNH New Holland, Pennsylvania Plant is a fast paced, dynamic manufacturing environment where balancing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on safety and compliance are key contributors to our success. We are seeking an energetic and engaging Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to join our team in New Holland, PA. This role is more than compliance—it’s about leadership, inspiration, and driving a culture where safety and health are lived values every day. You will be a visible presence on the shop floor, building trust and influencing employees at all levels. By leading with energy, inspiring teams, and fostering shared ownership, you will help us create a culture of care while driving lasting behavioral change and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- With limited to no direction, identify, analyze, and implement controls for occupational hazards while actively promoting a culture of worksite safety through a proactive and engaged approach.
- Develop, implement and influence a proactive and engaged safety culture
- Develop and implement programs / procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce occupational hazards associated with plant operations including risk analysis and safety initiatives
- Develop, conduct and coordinate EHSE training and communication programs
- Lead the plant’s Safety Committee and participate in functional area improvements
- Conducts EHS&E audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, standards and regulations (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001).
- Investigates EHS&E incidents, develops recommendations and follow-up to prevent recurrence.
- Leads the plant’s pollution prevention and waste minimization programs through periodic monitoring and technical guidance.
- Track and report metrics indicative of EHS performance
- Coordinate industrial hygiene sampling and exposure evaluations, as required
- Participate on regional EHS audit teams, as needed
- Partner with the onsite Employee Health Center to coordinate workers’ compensation claim management, facilitate employee care, and support safe, timely return-to-work processes.
- project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and follow through on EHS initiatives from concept to completion.
Experience Required
The qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Health or other technical discipline
- Daily use of MS Office applications especially Excel, Power BI
- Minimum 1 year experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong communication and coaching skills—able to inspire safety ownership.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience, including knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations, Title IV Air Permits, Wastewater and Stormwater Permits.
- Experience with EHS software or data analytics tools.
- Experience with ISO 45001, 14001, and 50001 standards.
- Experience in a fast-paced heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Behavioral-Based Safety programs.
- Proven track record of collaboration with hourly employees and senior leadership.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- CSP, CIH or other professional certificates preferred.
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $84,375.00 – $123,750.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
