Summary
The Innovation team at New Holland is a small group focused on functionally evaluating new concepts to be handed off to the advanced engineering group. Products supported out of the NH innovation site include Hay and Forage, Tractors, Combines and Sprayers. The team members are all fully involved in the multiple aspects of concept development including designing, building and evaluating prototypes. The internship position will have the opportunity of supporting multiple projects and multiple team members to gain additional experience as well as contributing to the various concept development.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include supporting a small innovation team with concept development and evaluation work. The internship opportunities will include supporting machine automation and sensing projects for Hay and Forage and Combines. The main experiences will be field evaluation of concepts including data collection / processing, equipment operation, sensor evaluation. Depending on the applicant’s abilities and preferences, the position may also include responsibility for a small mechanical design and /or software development project that would be completed within the internship.
Qualifications
Candidates may be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related degree).
